Sime Darby Plantation’s (SDP) operations and subsidiaries are supported by our vendors who play a vital role in providing a wide range of products and services for our business needs. As part of our commitment to building long term and mutually beneficial partnerships with our vendors, SDP seeks to improve our procurement processes continuously. This is done by ensuring that the end-to-end of our procurement value chain - from vendor registration, market intelligence and planning, strategic sourcing, to tactical procurement methods - are optimised and well-integrated to fulfil the interests of both our customers and vendors. In line with this, SDP aims to maximise value creation from procurement activities through an electronic Procurement method. The e-Procurement system and processes will not only enable SDP and its suppliers to improve cycle time but also establish better governance as well as a timely information exchange to support one another through business reciprocity.
